A recent e-mail scam targeted Facebook Users. They received an e-mail with the subject line "Hello". They were asked to click on a link to get their message. Doing so they were directed to a very real looking copy of the Face Book login where they gave their login and password.... oops! Why would scammers go to such lengths? Face Book users supply a lot of personal knowledge about themselves. Even their Facebook logins are sometimes the same ones they use for their banking and shopping accounts. Your bithday is right there too. Given access to this info, scammers sometimes have a bountiful wealth of knowledge about you! Paranoid? Don't be, just be careful. Take precautions. Obviously do not use same passord you use with your finacials. Do not put your full birthday online. Use common sense about the personal data you post online. You are not just telling your friends about your personality, but sometimes nosy total strangers. The urge to share is strong, and there are people out in cyber-world that can misuse it at your expense.
